Age d'Or 2010

Champagne Remi Henry

As a family-owned enterprise firmly rooted in the terroir of Bouzy, classified as Grand Cru 100% in the Montagne de Reims, nestled within the heart of the Champagne triangle "Reims – Épernay – Chalons", one of the prime regions for expressing the Pinot Noir grape variety.

Bouzy, renowned worldwide for its wines, and historically recognized since the coronations of the French kings in Reims in the 17th century, is a cornerstone of French wine heritage due to its excellence. Its chalky subsoil endows the Pinot Noir grape with its vibrancy, with its mineral power evolving patiently in the cellar.

In 1985, Remi Henry took over his grandparents' family vineyards, and together with Odile, they established Champagne Remi Henry. Their son, Marc-Antoine, honed his skills in vineyards across France and the world, crafting personalized blends and continuing the family legacy. Their vineyards are meticulously maintained with a commitment to environmental stewardship, embracing modern viticultural and winemaking practices.

Their passion for excellence is shared during tastings, offering a moment of solemnity shared over a flute of Champagne Remi Henry. Their range, expanded to 11 cuvées, distinguishes itself through its balance, styles, and emotions waiting to be discovered.

Champagne J L Vergnon

Nestled in Mesnil sur Oger, within the heart of the Côte des Blancs, lies the Maison JL Vergnon, an emblem of familial heritage spanning five generations. Originally established as the headquarters of the Regnault brothers, wine and spirits merchants, the house later passed to Jean-Louis Vergnon from his parents. In 1950, he revitalized the vineyards on the slopes of the Côte des Blancs, Mesnil sur Oger, with a fervent dedication to crafting exceptional Champagnes, solely from Chardonnay grapes. Despite initial setbacks, his commitment to producing exceptional wines endured, culminating in notable acclaim, including a "Coup de Cœur" from the Guide Hachette des Vins for his inaugural Extra-Brut. Didier Vergnon, who assumed leadership in 1999, continues this legacy with unwavering passion, supported by a dedicated team and the addition of a new generation, including his son Clément and partner Charlotte.

Their vineyard sprawls across diverse terroirs, predominantly in Mesnil sur Oger, a Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs appellation renowned for its Chardonnay grapes, as well as in Oger and Avize, other esteemed Grand Cru villages. Additionally, a portion of their vineyard is planted in Premier Cru villages such as Vertus and Villeneuve. Comprising primarily old vines with varied exposures and an average age exceeding thirty years, their meticulous vineyard management ensures consistency across their Champagnes.

With a steadfast commitment to environmental preservation, they employ sustainable viticultural practices, abstaining from herbicides for over a decade and prioritizing minimal treatments. Their efforts have earned them the HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) certification, a testament to their dedication to nature and sustainability.

Champagne Bernard Brémont

AMBONNAY, located in the southeastern part of the Montagne de Reims, stands as a GRAND CRU designated region, distinguished by its chalky soils, abundant sunlight, and predominant cultivation of the PINOT NOIR grape variety. These factors contribute to the production of esteemed CHAMPAGNES renowned for their finesse and unique character, alongside delightful COTEAUX CHAMPENOIS AOC red wines.

The name Ambonnay is believed to originate from the phrase "bonne haie," tracing back to a royal forest where the Roman officer Amboniacus purportedly planted the first vine stocks.

Champagne Bernard BRÉMONT is a family-owned champagne house created in 1965 by Michèle and Bernard BRÉMONT, their know-how has been handed down from generation to generation.

Honoring the legacy of Les BEURYS, the inaugural vineyard plot cultivated by the founders of the house, a distinctive cuvée has been dedicated in its memory. Their commitment to respecting nature, embracing sustainable vineyard practices, and preserving biodiversity is deeply embedded in their lifestyle philosophy.

This harmonious balance between the land and the craft of winemaking propels them to continuously refine and innovate, yielding heartfelt, profound, and generously authentic cuvées.
